NextGen Signs MOU with Mozilla Club of HackathonGirls

Next Generation Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mozilla club of HackathonGirls on 07 May 2018.

The MOU set out the understandings between the two parties to pursue a mutual interest in education and youth empowerment in the Gambia. The parties have agreed to partner in organising educational events in technology and other digital areas.

Juma Baldeh , the Founder of Mozilla club of HackathonGirls and Lamin SaidyKhan, the Programme Manager of NextGen signed on behalf of the respective institutions.

Next Generation Foundation (NextGen) emphasises the need to support education and empower the young people. Both parties wish to support young girls through educational events and other initiatives that will contribute to the development of education and young people in the Gambia.

About Mozilla club of HackathonGirls

Mozilla club of HackathonGirls is a project of HackathonGirls that seeks to empower young girls in the Gambia ages 8 to 18 years by creating a multidisciplinary and safe space for informal learning and exchange of experiences around digital culture. The aim is to provide participants with the skills they need so they can be informed contributors and creators of the digital world.
